Day 4: Delegation is life changing

When I say delegation, I am not just speaking out big-corporate definition. Sure, it really helps to know how to delegate your tasks to fellow team members. But, I am speaking delegation from an overall life perspective.

Taking pointers from corporate, we should delegate tasks that are necessary but are not exactly aligned with your goals or job expectation. Similarly, in life, delegate trivial tasks which are necessary but are not exactly aligned with the life you want to lead.

If you think about it, a lot of human development can be attributed to specialization. In olden times, everybody will do everything for themselves. But when, specialization started happening, farmers could focus on farming and let the police do the saving or tailors do the sewing. This freed up time for individuals which meant more focus and innovation.

Similarly, delegation of day to day activities like getting a cleaner, using a washing machine, getting a domestic helper, ordering groceries online etc. will help you free up so much time.

We should think about all the activities we do in our day and think about delegation. There are some activities that will be worse after delegating. Like ordering food online. You are essentially delegating your health in someone else's hands. Who knows what they are thinking about while cooking your food.

So delegate surely but wisely.
