How not to die -> Answer is follow a mostly whole foods plant-based diet. That's it.
The whole book is in 2 parts:
a) Part 1: About how to prevent leading causes of death like Heart disease, Alzheimers etc. Pages upon pages of scientific studies are summarized supporting the books main goal.
b) Part 2: About what to eat to not die - Very similar studies are now summarized to support things like turmeric, broccoli etc.

Summary:
If you are not willing to forgo meat or dairy, then this book is not for you. But if you have an open mind and atleast want to see the results of studies and are willing to make a change in your diet, then you do not need any other book. It is a big book and it is skimmable.

My takeaway:
The book in the first half really explains a lot about the diseases (what causes them and how to prevent), that really was good information. I made a resolve to atleast try and increase plant based whole foods in my diet.
